鳥嶼位於澎湖東北近海, 去年回來曾搭船到它臨近的員貝島一遊. 當初在員貝島遠望富庶的鳥嶼時便計劃下次回來要到鳥嶼走走.
這回搭機返澎, 巧遇南風. 由北往南飛機正好飛越鳥嶼上空. 由這張空照圖可看到鳥嶼的居民全集中在島的南邊, 以避強勁的東北季風.
前往歧頭搭船. 由我與爸的臉部表情不難看出, 即使是春天, 東北季風還是不小哩~
我們搭11:30am的船. 眼前這座是上次回來去的員貝島.

這一天兩班的交通船除了載人外, 還擔負運送民生物資的工作.
約25分鐘的短暫航程, 鳥嶼就快到了.
代表鳥嶼的地標.
上岸囉! 鳥嶼的居民多靠漁業(尤其是丁香魚)維生, 由滿街的樓房看來, 這裡比起其它離島富裕許多.
不過, 也相對比較沒有特色...
20~30年前爸常到澎湖各離島安裝電話與無線電, 因此, 幾乎每個島都能找得到幾個老朋友.
往島的北方前進.
這裡有相當遼闊的海景.
可惜的是, 散落四處的的墳墓, 讓此處的美景大打折扣
沒錯, 要發展澎胡的觀光, 眼前的問題是一個不得不去面對的問題. 這時, 不得不令人欽佩起前縣長賴峰偉先生的承擔,
"澎湖的墳地奇景已經橫梗幾十年了，成為外來觀光客詬病指陳的焦點，過去季屆縣長都有心予以整治，惜未付諸行動或遭遇困難而停滯，賴峰偉還沒有擔任縣長就認為這個問題非解決不可，會有這樣的想法其實是跟李前總統登輝先生有關。賴峰偉當時擔任黨職，李登輝前來澎湖巡視，賴峰偉趁機向李登輝提出一些有關地方建設的意見，李登輝立刻回應：「墓不遷走，什麼都不要講啦！」賴峰偉便將這句話牢記在心，當上縣長之後，他很積極地解決這個問題。
截至目前為止(2004/05/26)，賴峰偉已經成功遷移了一萬八千座墳墓"

與爸在涼亭下享受浮生半日閒. 此時空中的雲鵲輕巧的不斷鳴叫著.
逛了後山上一圈後, 我們返回村子.
爸總有拜訪不完的朋友.
我們搭下午2:00的船離開. 總的來說, 我喜歡員貝島多過鳥嶼. 最大的原因當是員貝島的紅色屋瓦的傳統民居太吸引人了.
然而, 鳥嶼北方的海景與玄武岩地形比員貝島更有看頭 --- 要是能將散落四處的墳墓遷移的話.

The Pescadores Island is very beautiful. Your articles birngs me to the memory dated back to 17 years ago when I was a second lieutentant serving my miliary service at this land. I always possessed a special feeling to these islands imaging there are a lot of lengends among them. As a solider guarding the costline I had to patorl in the midnight when I was on duty so that I visited most of the small fisher villages. I also visited three nothern smal islands for once and made a tour around these islands on foot and was quite impressed by the undulating terrain and towering cliffs behind the villiages. It now conjures vivid images blended with the shooting stars, the bellowing torrential current under the bridges, biting north-east monsoon and blosoming anonymous tiny chrysanthemus by the roadside, and the dungs from the yellow cows on the pasture... Please keep these islands naive and clean as before. I also graduated from NCTU.
Dear YF, It's really a beautiful island with the smell of seawater, grass and soil in the wind. Although it is not your hometown, I could feel your love to the island from your words. Frank
